One of Clemson’s top commits in the class of 2023 has decommitted from the Tigers. Four-star receiver Nathaniel Joseph is no longer a part of Clemson’s class, he announced Tuesday night.

Joseph had been committed to Clemson since last September. He was the first commit for the Tigers in the class of 2023.

“First I want to thank God for everything I have today and the days to come, and for the countless blessings God gives me,” Joseph said as part of a statement. “After talking things over with my family, we feel it’s best for me to decommit and reopen my recruitment.”

Joseph is ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 120 overall player in the country, according to the On3 consensus rankings.

The speedy receiver was set to play in the slot for the Tigers.

Miami and Louisville are schools to look out for with Joseph no longer committed to Clemson.

“I want to thank Clemson and all of Clemson’s staff for showing me love day in and day out,” Joseph said. “I want to thank coach Grisham for all the love he showed me and for taking a chance on me. … This was a hard decision for me to make, but some things took place that me and my family didn’t like.”
