Dabo Swinney reveals Hunter Renfrow has been staying with Swinney family

This past week, Clemson has had one of its recent stars back on campus. Las Vegas Raiders wideout Hunter Renfrow has been at both the Tigers practices this week, spending time around his former coaches and taking in campus.

A large part of his return visit has been spent catching up with his former head coach Dabo Swinney, too. In his Wednesday press conference, Swinney revealed Renfrow and his family has been staying with the Swinney’s in their basement.

“He’s staying in my basement,” Swinney said. “He and (wife) Cami and baby Collins have been in my basement since Sunday, so they’re hanging out with us. We played basketball till 11 o’clock the other night. For the record, me and Dillon, one of the guys, took he and Will (Swinney) down. Just for the record, two-on-two, that is an absolute fact. He wasn’t real happy about that.”

Renfrow will not be the only NFL star paying a visit to Clemson this spring. Swinney also said Wednesday that Raiders quarterback Derek Carr could be stopping by this weekend.

The former Clemson receiver is best known for his game-winning touchdown catch from quarterback Deshaun Watson with one second remaining in the game the 2017 College Football Playoff national title game. He finished his Tigers career with 186 catches for 2,133 yards and 15 touchdown catches.

He has found success in the NFL, too. He just finished his best statical season, being voted to the Pro Bowl and pulling down 103 receptions while racking up 1,038 yards and nine touchdown grabs.

Four-star EDGE AJ Hoffler left speechless from Clemson offer

Three words — all uppercase and followed by some exclamation marks — were all that AJ Hoffler needed to describe his reaction to Clemson offering him on Saturday.

“OH MY GOD!!!”

These words led Hoffler’s tweet that announced his offer from the Tigers this past weekend. For Hoffler, this was an unexpected development that had him celebrating in front of his father and Lemanski Hall.

He spoke with Clemson Sports senior recruiting reporter Joseph Hastings about the offer.

Clemson in top three for four-star cornerback following junior day

Clemson has taken full advantage of their two junior days this year.

During their Elite Junior Day on Jan. 29, the program played host to over a dozen targets, including sought-after quarterback Christopher Vizzina and prized running back Justice Haynes.

In their most recent event last Saturday, the Tigers ended up handing out offers to nearly double-digit visitors. One of the recipients of an offer from Dabo Swinney’s staff was Lake Mary (Fla.) High’s Braeden Marshall
