After hosting a laundry list of 2023 prospects on March 5, the Gators are fresh off spring break and are back in action on the recruiting trail. Florida also has a spring practice scheduled for Saturday, so the recruits in town will look at how the coaches go about their business.

With that said, Gators Online dives into Saturday’s lengthy visitors list.

Multiple top cornerbacks will be in The Swamp

While five-star Plus+ prospect Cormani McClain and top-50 cornerback A.J. Harris venture to The Swamp, another On300 defensive back, Kayin Lee, will also make the trip to Gainesville.

McClain was at Alabama on March 5 and got the red carpet rolled out as he and his mom took the trip to Tuscaloosa. The Gators are still pushing hard for his services, and it will mean a lot for McClain to spend some extended face-to-face time with the new coaching staff. McClain is very familiar with the school itself, but building those bonds with the coaching staff is vital to staying in the race and landing an eventual commitment.

As for Harris, he continues to be at the top of the cornerbacks board. Harris is a priority target for cornerbacks coach Corey Raymond as he continues to build relationships with Harris and his family. This trip to Gainesville will mark Harris’s second visit under the Florida staff. Florida continues to it in a good spot for Harris’ services.

The No. 3 safety is the On3 Consensus, Joenel Aguero, will also hang around Gainesville today. Georgia and LSU are some additional schools heavily in the mix for his services; in fact, he is fresh off a pair of trips to Baton Rouge, while Georgia will host him a fourth time in the near future. The Bulldogs are trending in his recruitment, but that has not prevented the quartet of Billy Napier, Patrick Toney, Corey Raymond and Jamar Chaney from going all in for him.

Lee, a former Georgia commit, recently put himself back on the market and will see multiple Florida schools this weekend. Other schools in the mix for Lee include Arkansas, Georgia and Ohio State.

Another recent offer, RJ Johnson, will make the trip as well. Find out more on him and his recent offer HERE.

Star in-state running back to visit

Four-star back Cedric Baxter will also be in town on Saturday as the Gators continue to sit in a great spot. Baxter visited the Gators in January and an offer was extended shortly after the new staff arrived in Gainesville.

Multiple offensive linemen will be on campus

Another position of need for the Gators is offensive tackle, and both Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton are working hard on the trail to re-up at the position.

Monroe Freeling, the No. 5 offensive tackle in the 2023 class, will spend Friday and Saturday in The Swamp. Fresh off a Florida offer, Freeling will journey down to the Sunshine State for two days.

“I know they’ve been a really good football program, and they send a lot of players to the league,” Freeling told Corey Bender on Gators Online. “It is really not too far from my house.”

Four-star offensive tackle Wilkin Formby will also take a multi-day visit to the great state of Florida. Formby is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and will visit on Friday and Saturday. According to the On3 Consensus, Formby is the No. 11 offensive tackle in the 2023 class.

“It’s just a successful program. It has a great history to it, and they have a good fan base,” Formby told GO after receiving a Florida offer.

In-state offensive lineman Roderick Kearney is another priority for the UF staff. Kearney continues to take things slow as he plans to see a bunch of schools over the spring and summer.

In-state offensive tackle Bryce Lovett will also be on campus. Over the past few months, Lovett has been courted hard by the new staff. Florida, Arkansas, Missouri and Louisville are the schools recruiting him the hardest.

Today’s visit could catapult the Gators into the driver’s seat for the Rockledge (Fla.) offensive tackle.

Recent linebacker offer to see Gainesville

2023 four-star LB CJ Allen earned a Florida offer a few weeks ago, and now the 6-foot-1,216-pound backer will see Gainesville for himself. The Georgia Bulldogs continue to have momentum around Allen due to his familiarity with the program. Still, Florida and Auburn continue to contact the Barnesville, Georgia, native.

Two four-star EDGE prospects make the trip

2023 four-star EDGE AJ Hoffler is on the list for this Saturday, marking his first trip to see the Gators since he was offered a few weeks ago. Hoffler holds other offers from Auburn, Clemson, Ohio State and Georgia Tech. Mike Peterson and Billy Napier are spearheading the charge for the four-star prospect.

Top-100 EDGE Keldric Faulk will make the trip from Alabama this weekend to see everything the Gators offer. Faulk continues to hear from Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Auburn and others.

On300 receivers set up plans to visit UF

Four-star WR Daquayvious Sorey will travel to Florida this weekend to meet with wide receivers coach Keary Colbert and other members of the Florida staff. After de-committing from Georgia, Florida and Florida State continued to contact the Graceville product.

Top-200 wide receiver Christian Hamilton decided to come to Florida this weekend. Clemson, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio State and others continue to recruit Hamilton.

Three 2024 prospects will stop by

No. 3 overall prospect quarterback DJ Lagway, linebacker Myles Graham and athlete Fred Gaskin III will also be in Gainesville for Saturday’s festivities.
