New odds released on where Lane Kiffin will coach next season

Bet Online has released new odds for where Lane Kiffin will coach next season as well as updated odds for the Florida job. The current betting favorite for Kiffin is LSU.

Kiffin has -175 odds to be the Tigers next coach, according to Bet Online, followed by Florida at +125. The Gators and Tigers have better odds than his current employer, Ole Miss (+600).

Kiffin, who is being pursued by both Florida and LSU while his current team is 10-1 and chasing a spot in the College Football Playoff, met with Rebels athletics director Keith Carter last Friday.

Afterward, Carter released the following statement on X and revealed that a decision on Kiffin would be announced this Saturday. Ole Miss plays at Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl on Friday.

“Coach Kiffin and I have had many pointed and positive conversations regarding his future at Ole Miss, including meeting today with Chancellor Boyce. While we discuss next steps, we know we cannot lose sight of what is most important – our sixth-ranked team that is poised to finish the regular season in historic fashion. Despite the outside noise, Coach Kiffin is focused on preparing our team for the Egg Bowl, and together, we want to ensure that our players and coaches can concentrate fully on next Friday’s game. This team is on the cusp of an unprecedented season, and it’s imperative they feel the support of the Ole Miss family in the week ahead. An announcement on Coach Kiffin’s future is expected the Saturday following the game.”

Kiffin had the best odds for the Florida job earlier this month, but the current betting favorite is Washington coach Jedd Fisch at +110. He has the Huskies at 8-3 this year and they host No. 7 Oregon on Saturday.
