Twitter reacts to BT Riopelle's walk-off homer to lead Gators past Bama

Florida Gators catcher BT Riopelle was the talk of Twitter late Wednesday night.

And he deserved it.

Thanks to him, the Gators dug themselves out of a big hole.

Florida trailed Alabama 6-3 entering the bottom of the 11th of the Gators’ opening SEC Tournament game. And then, in a flash, Florida had pulled out a memorable 7-6 win.

The rally started with consecutive singles from Wyatt Langford, Jac Caglianone and Josh Rivera.

Then, Riopelle ended it with a walk-off homer to right.

The Gators, now 43-13, play again Thursday night at 9 against an opponent yet to be determined.
