Florida State All-22 Film Breakdown: Seminoles losing too many 1-on-1s
Using the learning tool of All-22 film, Warchant lead football analyst Dominic Robinson is back to assess the different reasons why Florida State’s defense and offense are in an 0-3 rut. This week, it’s about players being in a position to succeed but not coming away with wins on a given play.
“There’s only so much you can do from a scheme standpoint, there’s only so much you can do from a motivational standpoint,” Robinson said. “When we sit down as coaches… and we develop a game plan, the plan is always based on the thought that certain guys at certain moments are going to win their one-on-ones.”

Robinson said, on film, he’s not seeing enough Florida State players take advantage of those situations.

“What’s really discouraging about this game in particular is this isn’t Ed Reed’s Miami, this isn’t Trevor Lawrence’s Clemson,” he said. “You have to be able to line up, if you’re Florida State, against Memphis and know you’re gonna win more than half of your one-on-ones.”
