Georgia looks to be putting together a strong visit list for this weekend’s bout with the Auburn Tigers, with names such as Damon Wilson and Samuel M’Pemba already expected to be in Athens, but underclassmen stars will be in town, as well. Chief among them is On3 Consensus No. 43 overall prospect Ryan Montgomery, the nation’s No. 4 quarterback for the Class of 2025.

Montgomery, of Findlay, Ohio’s Findlay High School, also ranks as the No. 1 prospect in Ohio for the sophomore class.

The 6-foot-2 signal-caller is already among the most sought-after players in America for 2025, with offers from the likes of Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Notre Dame, and Tennessee among his almost 15 offers.

Currently, the Buckeyes hold the edge in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, with a 24.6-percent chance of landing Montgomery’s services.

His older brother, Luke, is a four-star offensive tackle and top 100 prospect already committed to Ohio State for the Class of 2023.

Ryan Montgomery no stranger to Athens or the Georgia Bulldogs

While Montgomery may be young, he’s well-traveled, having seen multiple campuses alongside his brother.

That included an earlier stop at Georgia, putting in a visit during 2021.

“Coach [Todd] Monken really has been great since we met him. It started when we were on a visit with Luke [Montgomery],” Montgomery told DawgsHQ in August. “Coach Monken spent the whole day with me while Coach [Matt] Luke was with Luke.”

It was an opportunity to dive deep with Georgia’s offensive coordinator on many fronts.

“We got to break down film, and we got to have dinner with him, his wife, and JT Daniels. I will never forget that trip,” Montgomery said.

“Since then, I have been reaching out to Coach as time permits, and he came up this past spring to watch me throw, and we went down again this summer,” Montgomery said.

Montgomery clear on what he’s looking for

Georgia isn’t the only school set to play host this season.

Both Michigan and Penn State will play host this month, as well, and Kentucky is a possibility in November.

“For the game day visits, we’re really looking for the brotherhood that they have, what they bring to the table offensively, the culture they have, obviously the coaching staff,” Montgomery told On3. “But you want to commit to the school, not the coaching staff, because everything’s crazy these days. Coaches could be gone the next year. So definitely the academics for sure, the school, but really just what feels like home.”
