Georgia adds to the 2026 class with a commitment from junior college offensive tackle Jarmaine Mitchell. The 6-foot-8, 320-pound tackle was committed to Mississippi State since early this year.

Mitchell is originally from Vacherie, Louisiana and has been at Copiah-Lincoln Community College for the last two seasons.

Mitchell was in Athens for an official visit back on Oct. 18 as Georgia defeated Ole Miss. The Bulldogs have been in search of a second offensive tackle in the 2026 class.

The Bulldogs have a four-star offensive tackle, Ekene Ogboko, committed in the class. Mitchell will have two years of eligbility once he arrives in Athens.

Georgia missed on five-star Jackson Cantwell earlier in the 2026 cycle. The Bulldogs began pursuing in-state target Jared Doughty earlier this fall.

The Bannecker star committed to Alabama and shut his recruitment down a few weeks ago. Georgia is also still in on Tyreek Jemison. He will be in Athens for an official visit on Nov. 22.
