It has been a busy, exciting week for Georgia football. Wednesday saw the Bulldogs land their third commitment in as many days and fourth pledge in the past nine days. We also learned something about the near future of the annual rivalry game with Florida.

Those were the two major topics on the latest edition of The Georgia Show, which aired Wednesday evening. The episode began with Wes Blankenship speaking with Palmer Thombs and myself about The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party after a UGA announcement made it known that it will be extended through the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

The news comes not long after the Jacksonville mayor brought up the fact that it might move to a home-and-home series for a couple of years so that renovations could take place at TIAA Bank Field. Whether or not those happen remains to be seen but it won’t be before the 2025 season, apparently

Another Georgia commitment…

Since ending the scavenger hunt weekend on Sunday, Georgia has reeled in three commitments. Two of those commitments play the same position and stop me if you’ve heard this before, they’re tight ends. Jake Reuse joins the show to discuss how Todd Hartley is on quite the heater, landing top target Colton Heinrich on Monday and then a top 50 overall prospect in the 2023 class, Jaden Reddell.

The Bulldogs took a pound of flesh from Tennessee with the addition of Reddell, who is shutting his recruitment down. The On3 in-house rankings have Georgia landing the nation’s No. 1 tight end and No. 22 overall prospect in Reddell. The On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that includes On3’s in-house ranking plus those from three other outlets, has Reddell as the No. 2 tight end and No. 49 overall prospect.

The gang also takes some time to discuss mammoth offensive tackle prospect Marcus Harrison, who committed to Georgia on Tuesday. The 6-foot-7 335-pound behemoth is a three-star prospect for the time being but he was a major target for the Bulldogs going into his official visit. Once the entire staff got a look at him in person, the upstate New York resident became an even bigger target.
