Georgia vs. Florida injury report: Gators rule two players out, no changes for Bulldogs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The final SEC student-athlete availability report is out for Georgia vs. Florida. There is no change for the Bulldogs, who list four players as out. The Gators, however, have ruled out a pair of players — third-leading running back Duke Clark and walk-on defensive back Javion Tombs.
Walk-on wideout Jackson Wade is cleared to play. In all, Florida has 10 players out for the contest with Georgia, including leading receiver Vernell Brown and second-leading rusher Ja’Kobi Jackson. UGA, for the first time in SEC play this season, doesn’t have a single offensive lineman listed.
The Bulldogs will be without three players who opened the season as starters. Senior wideout Colbie Young is out after suffering a broken bone in his lower leg against Ole Miss. Young sustained the injury on the third play from scrimmage when he caught a 36-yard pass from Gunner Stockton.
Leading up to the Ole Miss game, Young was Georgia’s leading receiver on the year and Stockton’s go-to target in the passing game. Noah Thomas is expected to step into his spot at the split end/X-receiver position.

Georgia will also be without redshirt sophomore defensive back Kyron Jones for the second straight game. He’s out “indefinitely” with a foot injury sustained prior to the Ole Miss game. The North Carolina native started the first six games of the season. True freshman tight end Ethan Barbour, who got the start in week one, has been out since week two with a serious ankle injury. Freshman wideout Talyn Taylor is also out for the third straight game after surgery to fix a collarbone injury.
The Bulldogs enter this game as a touchdown favorite according to BetMGM. They have been as high as a 7.5-point favorite during the week and some books have Georgia favored by 6.5 points.
Kickoff for the 104th playing of The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party is set for 3:45 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
