LOOK: Georgia makes its path to the NFL pitch to 5-star QB Jared Curtis

Georgia welcomed five-star quarterback Jared Curtis to campus a couple of days ago. He’s expected to remain in Athens until Sunday, getting two opportunities to watch the Bulldogs practice. UGA doesn’t practice on Friday, giving the staff a large portion of the day to focus on Curtis and other visitors.
Per Curtis’ Instagram story, Georgia is using Friday to make its path to the NFL pitch. Curtis posted a photo from what appeared to be a team meeting room at the UGA football facility. It shows a photo of him holding up a No. 1 jersey at the NFL Draft.

The latest on Curtis’ recruitment…
The Nashville Christian standout is down to two schools, Georgia and Oregon. He has set up official visits to each of those programs. The Ducks are set to hose him on June 6 and Georgia will get him in town the following Friday, June 13.
Curtis was in Eugene earlier this week for a few days to give the Ducks a long look. The one-time Georgia pledge decided to re-open his recruitment in October and Oregon quickly emerged as a major contender. UGA never slowed its pursuit of the blue-chip talent. In fact, the Bulldogs likely ramped up their efforts.

Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, and a who’s who of top programs all made strong pushes for Curtis. He even had official visits set up to some of those programs but ultimately decided to narrow down his list. There is some chatter behind the scenes that Curtis might make a decision before his official visits in June.
Georgia has positioned itself well to land Curtis but it has also continued to recruit other talented quarterbacks. The Bulldogs are still in hot pursuit of Dia Bell, a Texas pledge. They are also heavily recruiting Bowe Bentley, Landon Duckworth, Jaden O’Neal, and Keisean Henderson. Two of those playeres, O’Neal and Henderson, are already committed. O’Neal has pledged to Oklahoma while Henderson is pledged to Houston.
