Georgia coaches hit the road to finish the May

The Bulldogs won’t be hosting any prospects this Memorial Day weekend, but that’s not stopping Georgia coaches from making the most of the waning weeks ahead of the summer season. Stacy Searels is spending his time visiting the Pacific with the express purpose of visiting top 150 prospect Malakai Lee in Honolulu. With the Bulldogs having missed on Jackson Cantwell, it seems as though there’s a new top target on the board, and that Searels has made the trek twice suggests that the Dawgs like their chances in the race against the likes of Michigan, Alabama, and Texas, among others. Is he the answer for Georgia when it comes to the offensive tackle spot? We have thoughts on why that can be the case and how the Dawgs have built up that position from year-to-year under Kirby Smart with several players who may not have fit the traditional billing of the spot. Elsewhere, Todd Hartley has Mark Bowman in his sights, and if you haven’t heard our thoughts on him, you must’ve been under a rock. Safe to say Georgia is deep in this one.

Gearing up for a big June

Summer official visits start next weekend in Athens, and camp season is also on the horizon for the Bulldogs. The in person camps have yielded much success and many names on the commit list during the Smart regime, and this year should be absolutely no exception in that regard. Who’s the next Chase Linton?

Georgia goes long for Wes Johnson but falls short in Hoover

Aside from football, the Georgia baseball program took a big step on Wednesday, with a contract extension announced for head coach Wes Johnson. While it was only a year added to the deal, it’s safe to say there’s much additional compensation coming his way. Is this the signal that the Dawgs are all in when it comes to the diamond? It certainly seems to suggest so, and we break down why. On the flipside of the good news, however, there was a quick exit for the Dawgs in the SEC tournament. Jake Rowe says that doesn’t concern him much, especially given the historical performance, and looks ahead to what’s next on the field.
