WATCH: Jan Jensen, Hawkeyes preview the Cy-Hawk matchup
Technically, it is just another game on the schedule. It’s true that the ramifications, win or lose, are not as drastic as a conference game would be. Still, the Cy-Hawk rivalry is one of the more anticipated games of the early women’s basketball season. It’s #10 vs #11 and a chance for either side to put a significant feather in their cap for down the road when resumes start to matter. If it pans out as expected, Wednesday night’s game between the Hawkeyes and Cyclones will be a good one.
