Recruiting Scoop: Initial portal needs for Kansas State

Our Kansas State recruiting scoop moving forward will now be via a message board post at KSO and sponsored by our friends at MyPerfectFranchise.net. We thank them for their partnership and supporting the Wildcats and our site at On3.
Though retention has been a strong suit for Chris Klieman and K-State since he was hired as the head coach in Manhattan several years ago, they have now had two de-commitments in the Class of 2026 in defensive backs Brandon Ford (Oklahoma State) and Hannibal Navies (Arizona).
It’s never fun to lose commits, especially to fellow Big 12 programs, which was the case in both situations. What is happening? Is it strictly tied to the team’s performance on the field? We share the latest on how concerning it is for Kansas State.

Needs are already coming into vision for the following season. The 2026 season will be a big one for Klieman and the Wildcats after dropping the ball this year. What positions can we anticipate K-State attacking when the portal opens up in January?
