Off the Dribble, a New York Times NBA blog, recently sat down with Anthony Davis for a quick Q and A session. The former Wildcat had a ton to talk about following his gold medal run with Team USA and his first NBA season on the horizon.
-How did you like being the only rookie on the United States Olympic team?
AD: It was cool. It was a great experience learning and getting a chance to play with all the NBA superstars.
-Were any particular players helpful to you?
AD: LeBron and Kobe and Melo were the main guys who took me under their wings and talked to me and told me about what the NBA is like.
-Kentucky had six players drafted, including Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Why do you think you and your former teammates will make good NBA players?
AD: Coach Calipari coached in the NBA so he had that experience that he shared with us. We go hard in practice all the time. He runs his programs in a style that's attractive to NBA teams.
-What's on your iPod?
AD: A little bit of everything. Drake, Lil Wayne, Frank Ocean.
