On and off the field (or court, or diamond, or track, etc.), University of Kentucky student-athletes put up impressive numbers this spring.

In addition to success within their respective sports programs, the Wildcats are thriving in the classroom, too. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey announced on Wednesday that 121 Kentucky student-athletes were tabbed to the 2022 Southeastern Conference Spring Sports Academic Honor Roll. Across all 14 SEC programs, a grand total of 1,531 student-athletes earned honor roll recognition, with Kentucky boasting the fifth-most.

South Carolina led the conference with 156 spring honor roll athletes while Tennessee (133), Alabama (132), and Florida (124) all finished ahead of UK.

Kentucky Women’s track and field led UK with 27 total honorees while men’s track and field came in right behind with 26. The men’s tennis program produced nine honorees, the most among SEC schools, while the men’s and women’s golf teams finished with nine and eight, respectively — tied for first within the conference. Baseball featured 20 honorees and softball with 15, while women’s tennis rounded out the school’s recognitions with six.

Among the notable players to make the list were softball stars Erin Coffel and Kayla Kowalik, women’s track and field superstar Abby Steiner, and men’s tennis star Gabriel Diallo. For the full list of Kentucky’s Spring Honor Roll student-athletes, click the link here.
