1/22/2011 UPDATE: Fan Outfitters College Basketball Contest

by:asdfasdf01/22/11

Before you take in this Saturday full of great NCAA matchups, take the time to see if you are any closing to winning a sweet prize. The College Basketball Fan Contest sponsored by Fan Outfitters Update returns to report on the final 87 teams left (81 if you count only eligible winners).

The beloved Hunter Campbell was the only bold-font casualty since Thursday morning. He also is captaining the KSR ship today. My condolences.

In the mean time, Florida and Auburn embarrassed the SEC. Around the nation, junior high girl’s basketball teams watched in disbelief, saying, “WTF, guys?” as Kenny Boynton and Erving Walker bricked three after ill-advised three.  Indiana was finally eliminated, making this their longest winning streak of the Tom Crean era (or is it the Tom Crean error?). Another more respected team in the state of Indiana, IUPIU, couldn’t escape in double overtime against Missouri-KC. St. Francis(NY) faced off against St. Francis(PA) in a battle that begs the question, “How are these teams in the same conference?” PA made half of the Franciscans in attendance proud by delivering a beatdown. Former UK opponent Portland tasted defeat Thursday. VMI couldn’t unload enough offense to win their game.
