wildcats-florida Kentucky's roster is full of Florida boys (errr 'Flawda Boyz') who will be traveling back home for tomorrow's game. Some of them will be playing in their home state for the first time, while others will be making a second trip to the Swamp to play against the school that passed them up out of high school. You may remember, a young Garrett Johnson burst onto the scene with six catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns as a true freshman in 2015. Johnson grew up in nearby Winter Garden and never received a scholarship offer from the Gators. Many other Wildcats hope to shine just like he did in that third game of his career. Here's a list of those Florida-born Cats:
Name Pos. Class Hometown Distance from the Swamp
Jeff Badet WR Jr. Orlando 120 miles
Derrick Baity CB So. Tampa 133 miles
Alvonte Bell DE Jr. Miramar 329 miles
Nico Firios LB So. Longwood 130 miles
Nick Haynes OL Jr. Niceville 296 miles
Garrett Johnson WR Jr. Winter Garden 102 miles
JoJo Kemp RB Sr. DeLand 95 miles
Bryan Kirche P So. Sarasota 186 miles
Blake McClain DB Sr. Winter Park 122 miles
Ramsey Meyers OL Jr. Orange Park 58 miles
Alexander Montgomery WR Jr. Weston 328 miles
Kendall Randolph DB Jr. Tallahassee 148 miles
Marcus Walker S So. Lake Wales 155 miles
Chris Westry WR So. Orange Park 58 miles
Of those 14 players, seven are expected to start and almost all will see action in some form.
