Day Off, Ferris Bueller’s — As the beloved 80’s comedy turns thirty years old in July, Groupon is hosting an online contest in which ten winners will recreate all of the events the titular character enjoyed in the film, including a baseball game and visits to Willis Tower, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Everest Restaurant. A spokesperson from Groupon says the contest so far has been extremely popular with thousands of entries, as opposed to the organization’s recent Deliverance sweepstakes.

Hut, Pizza — Restaurant chain Pizza Hut just set the world record for highest altitude pizza delivery at 19,000 feet with a four-day delivery from sea level to the top of Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro. By the time the pizza arrived it was cold because the driver circled the summit four times before someone came out on the porch and waved them down.

McLovin — After a couple of salty tweets, New York Knicks’ beat writer Frank Isola has entered into a social media beef with “McLovin” actor Christopher Mintz-Plass. The two aren’t really that different, though: one is known for being in Superbad while the other is known for covering things that are super bad.

Odom, Lamar — A recent episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians saw sibling Kim disclosing that husband Kanye West helped to rehabilitate his comatose brother-in-law Lamar Odom by rapping and singing to the ex-Lakers star in his hospital room. Odom has since made an almost full recovery except for his SEVERE EAR DAMAGE.

Radiohead — Earlier this week British mood-rockers Radiohead released their already-acclaimed ninth studio album, A Moon Shaped Pool, after an unusual period of deleting all the band’s social media presence in preparation for the record’s drop. It’s been a long wait for Radiohead fans, who have been waiting since news broke in 2015 that the band would spend all of September in Britain diligently recording the album deep inside their own butts.

Shelton, Blake — Three men driving along an Oklahoma riverbank slid into a mud hole and were stranded there for two hours before The Voice judge and outspoken hillbilly bone possessor Blake Shelton stopped to help rescue the trio from their predicament. Sources close to Shelton claim the country singer’s new song “Mud Hole” was inspired by the event and is not, as previously thought, a thinly failed ode to his relationship with current girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
