2017 UK target John Petty is hyped about Kentucky

Even though 2017 is two years away, we can't help but get pretty excited about John Petty, 6'6 small forward out of Huntsville, Alabama. Standing out at Houston's Nike EYBL for the Alabama Challenge, Petty is currently ranked No. 31 by 247Sports and will move up after this weekend.

Petty told 247Sports:
"'Kentucky is a great program that sends a lot of great athletes to the NBA," said Petty, 6-6 and out of Huntsville (Ala.) J.O. Johnson High School. "That is where I want to be one day.'"
Chris Fisher with 247Sports tweeted about Petty and other Kentucky targets who are at the event in Houston:
Petty scored a team-high 18 points in a 63-59 win vs. Team Takeover last night at the EYBL in Houston. Fellow UK target VJ King scored 20.
