[caption id="attachment_157945" align="alignnone" width="600"](@_KIRKjunior) @_KIRKjunior[/caption]   Darrin Kirkland, Jr., a consensus 4-star inside linebacker from Indianapolis, committed to play for the University of Michigan this afternoon over the University of Kentucky, the University of Tennessee, and several other schools. 247Sports Composite ranks Kirkland as the 5th best inside linebacker in the country, as well as the 194th ranked player in the class of 2015.   Kirkland took an unofficial visit to Lexington last Saturday, but the 6'2", 228-lb. Lawrence Central Bear ultimately committed to Brady Hoke's Wolverines during a trip to Ann Arbor this weekend. Even though Marks Stoops & Co. missed out on a big-time Yahtzee, Kirkland's serious interest in the Wildcats speaks wonders for the state of Kentucky's football program. Just three short years ago, a 4-star linebacker committing to play elsewhere hardly would've qualified as news. Now, we're begging the question, Why not us?   96 Conclusion Logo   @Condre3000_KSR
