Kentucky football appears to be on the verge of bringing another talented pass-catcher into the program.

According to 247Sports’ Mick Walker, four-star ’23 wide receiver Anthony Brown will reportedly make his college decision on Saturday, July 16 at 2:00 p.m. EST. Brown recently dropped a list of his top five preferred destinations, which included Kentucky, Cincinnati, Penn State, Michigan, and Oklahoma.

It is widely believed that the 5-foot-10, 160-pound wideout will choose between UK and UC, which he confirmed with 247Sports. Brown has taken just two official visits this year which were to Cincinnati (June 10) and Kentucky (June 17). The Springfield (OH) product is considered a four-star prospect ranked No. 399 in the country, according to the On3 Consensus.

Kentucky was Brown’s very first Divison I offer, which he earned two years ago in June 2020. He received a Crystal Ball projection last week to land at Kentucky, which came from 247Sports’ Josh EdwardsKSR’s Nick Roush and Rivals’ Justin Rowland also have picks in favor of Brown choosing the ‘Cats.

Oklahoma is the most recent school to express serious interest in Brown, extending him an offer in late May. Michigan was able to get him on campus for an unofficial visit in March while Penn State offered him all the way back in June 2021, around the same time the Wolverines did the same. Brown was formerly committed to Minnesota before backing off that decision and re-opening his recruitment in February.

Adding Brown into the mix for Kentucky would give the ’23 class a pair of impressive four-star wide receivers, the other being Shamar Porter, who is considered a top 200 prospect. The Wildcats currently have seven ’23 commits in the fold.
