A Few Friday Night Notes

by:Matt Jones12/12/08
I have been out of action for about 48 hours thanks to the mistress of the law and there have been a few notes to hit.... --- Ramon Harris is back to doing much better. He got the neck brace off and is now able to do limited movements. He is still very stiff and is unable to participate in basketball drills, but his status is improving and he will make a full recovery and return to the team. The timeframe however is still up in the air. --- Jody Demling is reporting that Vee Sanford of Lexington Catholic DOES have an offer from UK for the class of 2010 at Point guard. This had been rumored for some time, but it now looks as if it is official. --- RB Toney Williams recommitted to Tennessee, thus leaving Deuce Finch (reportedly choosing between UK and Illinois) as the major running back target. --- Kenny Rice is on tv calling MMA. How did he get that gig? --- Kentucky is a 16 point favorite at this point for tomorrow versus Indiana. In other news, the Cats are a 2 point dog against East Carolina in the Liberty Bowl. --- Greg Anthony is calling his first CBS college game this weekend in Lexington. I find Greg to be very knowledgable and I look forward to hearing him. He does say that this year's UK team has "top 10 talent", so it is clear that he isnt afraid to go out on a bit of a limb. We will have more on Indiana all day tomorrow. And most importantly, Bell County will win the 4A title tomorrow versus Bullitt East....get on board!
