A New Big Man.....for THIS Year?

rrrrr Take one night off around Kentucky basketball and you end up missing everything. After deciding that I was safe taking this Friday night to play a little Texas Hold 'Em, I came home to madness and emails of the news that Leonard Washington is now eligible to play college basketball. As first reported by Marc Maggard tonight, Washington's eligibility means that he can play THIS YEAR for a team and he is looking into joining a squad within the next couple of weeks. It had been assumed for the past few weeks that New Mexico and a couple of other schools were the leaders for his services, and that Leonard's time with Kentucky had passed. But as Lee Corso would say....."Not so Fast my Friend". Marc first reported tonight that Washington's people called UK today to inform them of his eligibility and to look into interest. I came home to an email (which I couldnt call and verify due to the late hour) saying that the conversation between the parties continued tonight and that both sides agreed to talk again tomorrow. Leonard is also talking with a couple of other schools and hoping to make something work out in the very near future....like possibly before Thanksgiving and maybe before this weekend ends. Thus Leonard could be at a school very soon and that school could even be Kentucky....an amazing turn of events. We will have more on Leonard, including a reminder as to who he is (only potentially the most bizarre and hilarious interview in the history of our show) and what he could mean to UK tomorrow. In addition we will have any news as it develops AND get you ready for the huge football tilt with Georgia at 12:30. To bed now........
