A Quick, Fake Summary: Tennessee State Missed The 8:15 Into The City

by:The Fake Gimel Martinez12/22/08

Tennessee State had no answer for Patrick Patterson and Jodie Meeks. Meeks made seven 3-pointers in the first half. Jodie led all scorers in the first half with 26 points, and finished with 32. In the second half, Patterson got in his groove, and finished the game with 33 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. (Kentucky had 30 assists total, and 19 turnovers, although they had only around 14 before the final 5 minutes of the game.)

Points-wise, Jodie and Pat outscored the Tigers 65-58. But they alone didn't contain the Tigers. A constant great effort was had on the defensive end tonight. Kentucky forced the Tigers into 18 turnovers, 32% FG and 29% 3pt shooting. Unlike in past games, the Wildcats never let up on both sides of the court tonight.

Kentucky dominates by the final score of 102-58. Matt will probably be along later tonight with his notes. Until then, bask in the glory and dance like a drunken 40-something guy at a street concert.
