Algorithm (not to be confused with algoreithm - the invention of the internet) is an effective method for solving a problem expressed as a finite sequence of steps. Algorithms are used for calculation, data processing and, according to Ken Pomeroy, determining the college basketball Player of the Year. Pomeroy and his magical statistics machine of mystery used an algorithm to select Player of the Year candidates.  Terrence Jones is #1 on the list. Now this list is not for the Naismith or Wooden awards, it's for the kenpom Player of the Year.  According to Ken Pomeroy, the kPOY is based only on a player's value to the team and not the player's hype or publicity.  I would break down the mathematics that go into the kPOY award for you but I honestly have no idea and I don't think Ken really knows either. Just know that alogorithms say Terrence Jones is POY and algorithms never lie. Read KenPom's kPOY if you want to know more.  It made my head hurt.
