Anthony Davis donated the money for a new court to his high school

AnthonyDavisRedbull Some good news out of an otherwise dreary sports weekend: Anthony Davis is still the man. In the last two years, the big man has won a national championship, received every Player of the Year trophy imaginable, was the first overall pick in the NBA draft, and won a gold medal in the Olympics. But through all of that, he never lost touch with his roots. Case in point - until recently, his high school alma mater was without a gymnasium or usable basketball court. That may be hard to imagine given that the school reared one of the greatest college basketball players of all time, but it's true. Per NBC Chicago, while Anthony was attending Perspectives Charter School in Chicago, "the school didn’t even have a gymnasium for its basketball team to practice or play in. Many practices and games would often occur in the gym of the nearby Illinois Institute of Technology." That's no longer a problem though. Thanks to AD's $65,000 donation, Perspectives Charter School in Chicago will unveil a brand new basketball court later this week. Good on ya, Anthony. Keep making us proud.
