Check out the full recap of USA's 98-71 win over France at NBColympics.com, but all you need to know about Anthony Davis' Olympic Debut can be read below:
The U.S. team's lead ballooned to 78-51 after three quarters, allowing coach Mike Krzyzewski to rest Bryant, James and Durant for most of the fourth quarter. With the game well in hand, Krzyzewski even gave 19-year-old Anthony Davis, the top pick in June's NBA draft, his first taste of Olympic play.
In nine minutes of action, Davis played within himself and didn't try to do too much. Davis scored 3 points, shot 1-of-2 from the field (with a dunk), and was also 1-of-2 from the free throw line. Davis also grabbed 3 rebounds, swatted away 1 block, and the NBC broadcast team had nothing but praise for the 19-year-old. UPDATE: Davis even got a hug from First Lady Michelle Obama!
