http://nbcsportsmedia1.msnbc.com/j/ap/649ac54d-22db-43b4-a0c6-5cbdf1b43074.widec.jpg It appears that Sports by Brooks, a reputable blog, has picked up a juicy nugget concerning the Jeannine Edwards/Billy Gillispie situation. Naturally, this tidbit comes from a "source":
Gillispie made a past, amorous advance at Edwards which was subsequently denied by the ESPN reporter. I have no more details than that. But again, I have confirmed that Gillispie did make clear to Edwards that he was interested in spending some quality time with her away from the court. And she shut him down.
Obviously, there is no way to prove or disprove the veracity of these claims. Still, I wanted you guys to hear it from us before you read it on Deadspin...and then everywhere else. (Damn it. Deadspin has it up now, as well.) Personally, whether the rumor is true or not, I'm just glad Gillispie was spelled correctly. ESPNer Turned Down Gillispie's Amorous Advance (Sports by Brooks)
