Archie Goodwin and MKG took on new roles during fantasy camp

One of the highlights of the John Calipari Basketball Fantasy Experience was watching how seriously all of the volunteers took it. When I wasn't watching John Lucas argue call after call as head coach of Team Texas, I made a point to be near Archie Goodwin and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in whatever gym Team Missouri was playing in. Kidd-Gilchrist took his role as Paul Bianardi's assistant coach VERY seriously, when other former Calipari Cats (I won't say who) were only around as much as they had to be. That's not a knock on the other guys; these were very long days and they were volunteering their time. However, MKG never wandered off from his team's practices or games and he was very supportive, encouraging, and vocal towards his campers throughout the entire weekend. He was exactly like you'd expect Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to be -- a gym rat. The same goes for the manager on Team Missouri, Archie Goodwin. All of the current UK players were assigned to a team, but none of them got involved in each game as much as Archie Goodwin. He would quickly run water to the players during timeouts, wipe a wet spot off the floor when a ref pointed to it, or even give a head massage to his assistant coach. I tried to capture as much as I could of Archie in his role as team manager so you could catch a glimpse of his personality and how fun he was during the camp. Check it out...
