Are Pigs About to Fly?

by:Kristen Geil06/14/13
I've been sick this week, y'all. Real sick. Averaging-two-crying-phone-calls-a-day-to-my-mom sick. So you'll forgive me if, in my haze of antibiotics and prescription strength nasal spray, I saw the above screenshot on KSR and thought I was hallucinating until a solid twelve hours later.   I will fully cop to being a rather unoptimistic (very different from pessimistic) Kentucky football fan. Sure, I've been excited about Stoops and the new blood coming through, but never in my wildest dreams did I expect to see Kentucky land the number three recruiting class in the nation- with room to grow. In fact, there are many things I expected to see happen way before that. Such as...   Flying cars. A DePaul University football BCS championship. Matt Jones speechless. Jose Canseco running for president. Coach Calipari riding a Vespa (to be fair, I have yet to actually see this in person) The Cubs winning a World Series Brian Long appreciating something (fine art, perhaps) LeBron James finally going completely bald Seeing Linda from the Live Blog in real life (Linda? Are you out there?) My mom at Bonnaroo A girl wearing high-waisted jeans and actually looking decent A Doron Lamb tweet that I don't immediately retweet and favorite A Gamecock beating a Commodore in an SEC Mascot fight to the death Kyle Wiltjer running a 4.5 40 yard dash Ally Tucker wearing a fedora A line beard that I find attractive An tentless line to get Big Blue Madness tickets A Chicago winter without snow and/or wind that blows me over at least once Billy Gillispie refusing to celebrate National Bourbon Day   Your turn.   @KristenGeilKSR
