Are you wearing #BlueForBlake?

One of the stories I missed last week was the unfortunate passing of nine-year-old Blake Hundley, a huge UK fan who battled brain cancer for three years. By now, Blake's story should be familiar; he became friends with Willie Cauley-Stein and the two bonded throughout the season. As I was catching up on things this morning, reading Willie's tribute to Blake on Instagram was especially poignant:

Words can't describe the way my little brother has impacted my life. Nobody knows why these things happen to young kids or even people in general but the way I seen our family and him fight and fight can only teach a lesson and give me a new outlook on my life. I seen a little boy have a smile on his face through the worst possible moments given. I seen a community rally behind a family and there hustle will not go unnoticed. I grieve in pain to the fact a mother and father lost a child that has brought so much joy and peace to a nation. A day will not go by to where I won't think about my little brother. RIP little buddy I know you are sitting in the most amazing treehouse right now watching over all of us! #TEAMBLAKE #MYLITTLEANGEL👼🏼 #MYTEAMWILLNEVERLACK 🙏🏽

In honor of Blake's memory and to raise awareness for the fight against brain cancer, his family and friends have declared today #BlueForBlake day. This should be easy for all of us. (I pretty much wear blue everyday anyways.) So far, it's working. Here are some examples of you guys wearing #BlueForBlake: https://twitter.com/kristen52889/status/600244631016714240 https://twitter.com/Zachadaisical/status/600261721803124736
