This morning, former Wildcats Bam Adebayo and Marcus Lee watched the 2019-20 team practice and hung out with the UK coaching staff around the Kentucky practice facilities. The Kentucky basketball Twitter account released the footage of John Calipari meeting up with Adebayo and giving him a hug on the sideline today. https://twitter.com/KentuckyMBB/status/1170362086267981825?s=20 After practice, Calipari took to Twitter to let the BBN know how excited he was to have both former Wildcats back in Lexington. "Always great to spend time [with] family," he said. "Being family means always being there for one another — that even players who choose to finish at other schools are always welcome here. Family knows that. We’re always here when they need advice or just to lend an ear. That’s what families do." Calipari touched on Marcus Lee's decision to transfer to Cal-Berkeley back in 2016, saying that he is always supportive of his players making the best decisions for themselves, even if it means leaving the program. "At the end of the day, what we do here is for the kids. If they choose to finish somewhere else, there is no intimidation or power play. We listen, we give our opinions, and then we roll with their decisions and support them in any way we can." Back in July at The Basketball Tournament, Lee told KSR that there is "no better feeling" than being back at his former school. “Oh man, it’s a great feeling,” Lee said about being back in Lexington. “There’s no better feeling than being back in Kentucky, at my alma mater, with fans that you love. There’s no better feeling.” #LaFamilia [mobile_ad]
