One thing I learned today is that these freshmen are extremely confident. When asked about this team's identity, Bam Adebayo made a bold statement about his squad.
"We don't have a ceiling," Bam said. "The sky's the limit."
I asked Bam if there's been one "wow" moment in practice to inspire such a statement; he said that's become an everyday occurrence.
"That's everyday. Every day we walk into this gym for practice and all of us are warming up and shooting.
If I think about it, we could be pretty special."
When I asked Malik Monk about Bam's statement, he said he's heard the same line from De'Aaron Fox.
"Fox said the same thing, that's crazy," Monk said. "I agree with that."
As did Isaiah Briscoe.
“Absolutely.”
