BBN in Costa Rica's Wednesday Morning Wakeup

by: Mrs. Tyler Thompson08/05/15@MrsTylerKSR
unnamed Shoutout to these happy UK fans at a wedding in Costa Rica. Even though I'm sure it's about a million degrees there right now, I'd happily trade places with you all. At least there's a breeze, right? And the ocean. And palm trees. And umbrella drinks. All we've got here in Nashville is humidity. While the people in this picture get ready to sit on the beach, here's what's the rest of us can expect from another day in UK sports...

We inch one step closer to Fall Camp

Fall camp starts Thursday, and for this blogger, it can't come soon enough. The annual crescendo of hype and excitement has been particularly painful this summer, and at this point, we're pretty much crawling across the desert, digging our fingers into the sand to get one inch closer to camp's oasis of practice reports, depth charts, Media Day interviews, and pictures. Drew, Nick, Freddie and I will all be on the ground Friday to interview, report, and Periscope in the most ridiculous manner possible, so as the week goes on, please leave us the questions you'd most like answered.

Another major school considers alcohol sales at football games

Texas was the most recent major college football program to approve alcohol sales at games, and now, it looks like THE Ohio State is thinking about it too. According to Fox Sports Ohio, the school will study the feasibility of selling beer at football games. OSU athletic director Gene Smith estimates selling beer at games would generate over $1 million in revenue. Imagine all the wifi-routers that could buy at Commonwealth Stadium. Come on, SEC. Just do it.

Will Max Strong and Landon Foster get mohawks?

Junior kicker Max Strong, punter Landon Foster, and Marcus Lee are all close friends with Kelly Melton, a young UK fan battling leukemia. Kelly got a mohawk yesterday, and now, he and Marcus Lee are challenging Strong and Foster to get matching mohawks: https://instagram.com/p/5-bsqSnB_D/?taken-by=justmarcuslee I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I'll say it: I like Tom Cruise again

To say I was a big Tom Cruise fan growing up is an understatement. I slept under a tattered, faded "Top Gun" poster and was ready to riot when Cuba Gooding Jr. won an Oscar for "Jerry Maguire" and Cruise didn't. Then Cruise went crazy. Or we found out he was crazy. Somewhere between the couch jumping on Oprah and the Scientology, I put down my love for Tom and slowly backed away. Until now. I warmed back up to Cruise slightly when he was spotted in Nashville on July 4th while rumors he was leaving Scientology ran amok. Sunday, I saw the new Mission Impossible, and I was really impressed. Even at age 53, Cruise's still got it and carried the movie well, a far cry from the creepy, odd vibe he gave off in "Knight and Day" a few years back. While lost in the movie, you almost forget about Cruise's offscreen drama of the past decade and enjoy him for what he is: a movie star. Hopefully he'll keep the crazy on the down low so we can keep thinking of him that way.

Catch the replay of Cal's interview on Fox Sports' "Halls of Fame"

John Calipari was interviewed on Fox Sports' "Halls of Fame" recently. The show aired last night on Fox Sports South, but if you missed it, there are plenty of replays coming up, including two today at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET. So, flip on Fox Sports South right now and report back.

This "Judgmental Map of Lexington" is going around

I have no idea how old this judgmental map of Lexington is, but it's making its way around my Facebook feed, so surely you've seen it by now. Someone made one of Nashville a while back and it was definitely good for a laugh. I'm sure you'll tell me what you think of this one in the comments. 11838561_10153511832109483_5069952659832639125_o

KSR is at Papa John's in Glasgow

And now I'm hungry because I'm thinking about Papa John's cheese sticks.
