Mulder's 14 points take down Booker and Suns

In just his second-ever NBA game, Golden State Warriors guard Mychal Mulder popped off for 14 points and six rebounds in 34 minutes. The former Wildcat shot 5-12 from the field and 3-8 from distance as he helped his new squad secure a 115-99 win over the Phoenix Suns, snapping an eight-game losing streak. Golden State has been hammered by the injury bug lately as Mulder has done an excellent job of filling in the minutes. Devin Booker had a night to forget for the Suns, even though he managed 21 points. Book shot just 6-16 from the field, recorded one assist, and turned the ball over six times. Sunday's loss was only the second time this season that Booker finished with either one or zero assists. The Suns held a slight, 65-61 halftime lead before crumbling in the second half. The Suns shot just 29 percent through the final two quarters and allowed a 16-0 Warriors run right before the end of the third period.

Lyles drops 20 for second time this season

Trey Lyles hasn't had a perfect start to his tenure in San Antonio. Honestly, it's been quite the opposite until the last few weeks. For just the second time this year, Lyles hit the 20-point mark, scoring 20 points while hauling in nine rebounds as the Spurs won a tight one over the Orlando Magic, 114-113. February was easily the best month of Lyles' time with the Spurs. In 11 games, the former Kentucky product averaged 10.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in over 26 minutes per game on shooting splits of 55.8/50.0/80.0.

Finally, something positive for Kevin Knox

What's this? A productive evening for Kevin Knox? Don't the New York Knicks know they aren't allowed to let him play? Knox went for 12 points in the Knicks 125-115 victory over the Chicago Bulls along with six rebounds in 21 minutes. Julius Randle posted a BBNBA-high of 22 points in addition to 10 rebounds and three assists for New York, who ended a six-game losing skid.

Other notes

  • The Los Angeles Lakers gave little effort in a 105-88 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies that saw the Lake Show score a season-low in points. Anthony Davis went for 15 points, nine rebounds, and four assists while Rajon Rondo added two points and four assists. The Lakers shot 9-36 from deep and trailed by as many as 22 points.
  • Wenyen Gabriel played 18 minutes for the Portland Trail Blazers - his season-high for them - in a 129-117 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Gabriel grabbed seven rebounds, scored two points, and recorded two steals.
  • Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat secured another win on Sunday, beating the Brooklyn Nets 116-113. Adebayo posted 16 and 12 rebounds for his 36th double-double of the season. He also added three assists and three blocks to his stat line.
