A collaboration of injuries and a Week 13 bye made for a pretty lackluster weekend when it comes to former Wildcats in the NFL. Luckily, our favorite first-round pick Jamin Davis made some serious contributions as the WFT is now in the thick of a playoff hunt.

Davis collecting wins in Sin City

Jamin Davis most certainly didn’t have the best game of his young career, as evident by more than a few missed tackles from the linebacker. Still though, Davis’ quickness and speed are invaluable tools that help him every week. In the 17-15 win over the Raiders, Davis finished with six tackles, one for a loss. He also made a potentially game saving tackle on an open screen pass while coming from the opposite side.

Jamin Davis won’t be getting many Rookie of the Year votes, nor will he even get all that admiration from his own fanbase. But with 52 tackles on the year now, Davis is putting up a pretty decent stat line for his initial campaign and continues to look better and better each week.

Mike Edwards suspended three games

So did Mike Edwards’ chef rat on him too?

Rumors started swirling around that Antonio Brown handed in a fake vaccine card to get out of the hassle of being an unvaccinated NFL player and the testing requirements surrounding that. It was funny at first; Antonio Brown has brought enough turmoil and hatred on to himself that people could find comedy in the fact that it may be his biggest heist failure yet. It worked on the Raiders, not Roger Goodell.

Then, the NFL comes out a few days later out of nowhere with repercussions for multiple players on the Bucs. AB, Mike Edwards and John Franklin III were suspended three games by the league for “misrepresenting their vaccine status.” Did they all try and hand in fake vaccine cards? Who knows. But it’s for sure not a great look that Edwards would go all this way to deceive the league and the public just for his own benefit.
