Kentucky Track and Field alum, Rondel Sorrillo of Trinidad and Tobago, is known for handing Usain Bolt his only Olympic loss. Sorrillo defeated Bolt in a heat of the 200m in Beijing 2008. Sorrillo finished the heat in 20.58, with Bolt finishing second in 20.64. “It really did happen,” Sorrillo told USA Today, after clinching his own spot in the Rio semifinals. “Oh yes, people remember me for it." Sorrillo said that the race is mentioned a lot more when he is home. With a country of just 1.3 million people, I wouldn't imagine anything else. “I remember being really green in the sport,” Sorrillo said. “I was just running for my life. It is water under the bridge now. (Bolt) and I are pretty cordial, we talk. I don’t remember that much about it.” During his time at Kentucky, Sorrillo won the 2010 NCAA 200 title. Sorrillo runs in the first semifinal tonight at 9:00 p.m. Bolt runs in the second semifinal at 9:00 p.m.
