Before Ole Miss, I'd Like To Address The Tragedy In Japan

by:Will Lentz03/11/11

If you have had a chance to look at any form of news today, you are familiar with the massive amounts of destruction caused by an earthquake in Japan this morning and the subsequent tsunami cause by it, whose effects are even being felt on the US west coast.  The natural disaster has cause widespread damage in the country and to this point, hundereds of deaths.

I know times are tough for a lot of people right now, but if you find you have a little extra cash this week, donations to the red cross are now easier to make than ever.  Simply visit redcross.org or text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10.00 to relief efforts (added on to your phone bill at the end of the month.)  The big blue nation is a powerful force – it will be used to crush Ole Miss in just a couple hours – but beyond our shared allegiance on the hard wood, the thing that sets us apart is that our passion extends outside the arena, too.

Keep Japan in your thoughts and prayers.
