Screen Shot 2016-08-24 at 9.51.04 AM JoJo Kemp’s time in Lexington has been fruitful. For a career, he’s rushed for 1,360 yards while averaging 5.1 yards per carry and 13 touchdowns. Kemp is arguably Wildcat fan’s favorite player. The humorous and vivacious senior running back from Deland, Florida was serious natured during our Tuesday interview. Prior to the start, I asked him what he wanted to talk about other than football? He said, “I’m totally dialed in on the next practice, season, and team.” After the conversation started to flow, I somehow pulled out some of his personality that we’ve all grown to love over the years. Meet JoJo Kemp: https://youtu.be/zT5tamjMVSY Kemp’s life-after-football goal is to coach. I can see that. JoJo has developed into a team leader. Why is he one of the fans' favorites? We all saw him carry the team on his back in a critical win over South Carolina. He’s given consistent effort while maintaining a positive attitude in the face of adversity and losing. And, that smile. While waiting for a joke fest, I came away from the interview with an understanding of Kemp’s focus on being a senior, leader, and winner.
