Big Ten is Hoops Title Favorite, SEC Close Second

SilverMedal "Nothing wrong with silver." -Not Reece Bobby If last year was a "down year" in college basketball, then this year is more than making up for it with an overabundance of talent.  Kentucky got the lion's (Wildcat's?) share, but there are still a lot of teams in the hunt for a championship.  Instead of looking at which individual team is most likely to win, which would be a much more predictable and over-discussed issue, Sports Illustrated wanted to know which conference was most likely to have the last team standing. When it came to the SEC, SI had this to say:
SEC: Here we have superhyped Kentucky and back-to-back-to-back Elite Eight participant Florida, both of whom are expected to be anywhere from very good to 40-0 this season. Hmmmm …
Every other big-six conference was mentioned, with at least one title contender thrown out for each.  Teams like Kansas, Louisville, and Arizona were lonely representatives for their leagues, with the SEC, Big Ten, and ACC being the only multiple-option leagues. So, as far as those three are concerned, which has the best chances?  With three elite teams (Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State), the Big Ten took the honors.  But the SEC, with really only Kentucky and Florida, finished ahead of the ACC, which features Duke and Syracuse in the top ten, with UNC close behind. Fair process?  I think it sounds about right.  The SEC doesn't have a lot of depth, but the talent at the top is enough to give it a position right under the Big Ten, which is probably the most consistent league around these days.  Thoughts?
