Big Ten threatens to kick Nebraska out of conference if they explore fall football options

When momentum began shifting toward a postponed season for the Big Ten, several of the conferences top coaches including Jim Harbaugh (Michigan), Scott Frost (Nebraska), Ryan Day (Ohio State), and James Franklin (Penn State) all released public statements against the idea, instead pushing to play the season on time in the fall.
In fact, Frost went as far as to say his Nebraska Cornhuskers would go outside the conference to play games if the Big Ten backed out.
“We’re a proud member of the Big Ten,” Frost told reporters on Tuesday. “We want to play a Big Ten schedule. I think the only reason we would look at any other options is if for some reason the Big Ten wasn’t playing and only a handful of teams from the Big Ten wanted to continue playing. I think if that’s the case, I think we’re prepared to look at any and all options.”
After the Big Ten officially announced it would be postponing the college football season, Nebraska released a statement saying the program was “very disappointed” and that the team “[hopes] it may be possible for our student-athletes to have the opportunity to compete.”
When asked about a potential one-year move for the Cornhuskers, first-year Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren told Yahoo Sports that it would not be allowed.
If the program wanted to make such a move, they would not be allowed back into the Big Ten after the one-year hiatus.
“No,” he told Yahoo Sports. “Not and be a member of the Big Ten Conference.”
In other words, if you're gone, you're gone, and the conference can allocate Nebraska's $50 million cut of league payouts elsewhere.
This afternoon, Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby told reporters that Nebraska has not yet reached out to the conference, which announced it was moving forward with a fall football season and released its complete schedule at noon.

Despite no movement thus far, will Nebraska ultimately decide to pack its bags and give a call to the SEC, ACC, or Big 12 in hopes of playing football this fall? Or will they begrudgingly play nice and attempt to take the field in the spring with the Big Ten?
