NBCSports.com today reportst that our friend Billy Clyde is still doing Billy Clyde things.
Since the end of the season, Gillispie has had 6 players transfer from Texas Tech, a fairly remarkable turnover for a coach who has finished his first year. Some turnover is inevitable when a new coach takes over a team, but Billy Clyde's seems especially personal. Of the 6 players who have left, 5 of them are Freshmen that Gillispie himself brought into the program. Overall, 10 new players joined Texas Tech basketball when Gillispie was hired, and as of now, five of them have left after less than a full year.
If there was a book to be written that were the exact opposite of "How to Win Friends and Influence People", Gillispie would seem to be a perfect candidate for the author.
