Billy Gillispie says his doctors have
ordered him to 30 days free of stress to lower his high blood pressure. He's currently on indefinite sick leave from Texas Tech following two hospital stays in the last three weeks. Gillispie checked himself into the University Medical Center on August 31, the day he was supposed to meet with athletic director Kirby Hocutt, and then he spent another four days at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota last week.
Associate head coach Chris Walker is handling the basketball coaching duties at Tech while Billy G focuses on his health.
The "30 days free of stress" should postpone his firing for another month.
