Deadspin is reporting that Texas Tech will fire basketball head coach Billy Gillispie as soon as it can legally do so.
The Family and Medical Leave Act prevents Gillispie from being fired while on his sick leave. Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt is reportedly simply waiting for the moment when Gillispie's dismissal can be legally executed before giving coach the axe.
