Bledsoe has surgery, out 6-8 weeks

bledsoe-clippers We'll now take a break from your regularly scheduled Indiana commiseration to give you an update on a former Cat. In news that came out Friday but got lost in the shuffle of the game yesterday, Eric Bledsoe suffered a torn lateral meniscus over the course of the lockout. He underwent surgery to repair the right knee injury in early October, and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks from when the injury was announced on Friday. He's been cleared to do some rehab and strength training and could return in late January. It's a tough break for Bledsoe, who had a solid rookie season for the Clippers, averaging 6.7 points and 3.6 assists in his first campaign in L.A. He started 25 games last year for the fighting Blake Griffins, and his role was likely to increase this year because eventually people will have to figure out that Mo Williams isn't any good. Obviously we wish Bledsoe a full and speedy recovery, and hopefully the grind of the compacted NBA season won't take too much of a toll on the knee once he gets back to playing. He needs to get back to doing stuff like this:
