Boogie makes amends

by:Thomas Beisner12/01/10
boogie-bobblehead In his very short professional career, DeMarcus Cousins hasn't done much to prove the people who called him a character risk or a potential problem child wrong.  The rumored frustrations of the former Kentucky big man hit a boiling point earlier this week when he was told to leave practice by head coach Paul Westphal.  There were no reasons given for the early exit from either side, but DeMarcus returned and did his best to fix the situation last night after posting 20 points and 8 rebounds in 23 minutes of action off the bench.  Here is what he told the Sacramento Bee:
"It's very hard," he said. "I mean, you come into practice, you can just feel it in the air. The negativity. It's like a black cloud hanging over ... I'm mad, I'm frustrated about losing.   I am a big part of this team, and coach (Paul) Westphal said I've been terrible. That's the truth. I've been terrible. And it affects the team. I've got to pick up my game."
With the team saying that there is no truth to the Cousins trade rumors and plenty of season still to go, let's hope Boogie gets back on track.  He is averaging 10.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.  Those rank fourth and second on the team.
