Brandon White has a chance to keep the Moeller-to-Kentucky pipeline pumping.

A three-star class of 2022 wide receiver from Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, OH, White announced through Twitter on Monday that he will be making his college decision on August 27. One of the fastest high schoolers in the country, the 5-foot-9 speedster has Power 5 offers from Kentucky and West Virginia. White took a camp visit to Kentucky back in June and did well enough to earn a scholarship opportunity shortly after.

KSR spoke with White in July to get a better idea of where his head was at heading into the home stretch of his recruitment.

“I got a couple of offers, but now that I got that offer from UK and Coach (Vince) Marrow told me the news, it felt a lot different,” White said last month. “It felt like it was my first offer. Because it’s Power 5 and Kentucky. Growing up, a lot of these players from Cincinnati, a lot of my friends commit to UK. It was kinda a shock–not a shock, I don’t want to say a shock. Like a relief. It was crazy and deserving.”

Moeller-to-Kentucky connection

Moeller has produced multiple Kentucky players in Carrington Valentine (So.) and Brenden Bates (Jr.) along with future Wildcat and current teammate of Brandon White, Josh Kattus from the class of 2022.

White also added that he intended on taking another trip to Lexington at the end of July, although that visit ultimately never happened. Instead, he visited West Virginia and momentum has been swinging in the Mountaineers’ direction ever since. At the beginning of August, White dropped a top four list on Instagram that included WVU, UK, Indiana, and Purdue.

Kentucky and new offensive coordinator Liam Coen have placed an emphasis on going after prospects with natural speed that can’t be taught. Receiving a commitment from Jordan Anthony (the fastest high schooler in Mississippi) in late July immediately juiced up that area. Bringing in White would be an added bonus–he ran a 4.28 40-yard dash as a junior–but maybe not something fans should count on at this moment.

Anything can happen over the next 10 days, though.
