Former Kentucky wide receiver Brandon White has transferred to Kansas State

The college football free agency period is pretty much over at the this point. There are still a few holdovers as programs put the finishing touches on their 2026 roster. Some former Kentucky players are finding new homes.

Brandon White is returning to power conference football after spending the 2025 season in the Mountain West. The Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller product is moving form Honolulu to the Little Apple. The class of 2022 recruit committed to Kansas State during a visit last weekend.

In one season at Hawaii, Brandon White recorded 38 receptions (on 66 targets) for 399 yards and two touchdowns. The speedster (clocked 4.28 in the forty-yard dash during his high school career) emerged as an outsider receiver for the Rainbow Warriors. White spent his first three college football seasons at Kentucky before moving to Hawaii.

Former Kentucky teammate Dekel Crowdus used a one-year stint at Hawaii to return to power conference football. Crowdus spent the 2025 season with Wisconsin. Now Brandon White is following a similar pat. At Kansas State, the wide receiver will play with former Kentucky teammate Austin Ramsey who also transferred to K-State this offseason.

Kentucky transfer portal tracker

The transfer portal window officially closed at midnight on Jan. 16. However, that is just the deadline for players to share with schools their intent to leave. Wee could learn of more departures all the way through Wednesday. There are 21 full scholarship players who left the Kentucky program for the portal this offseason.
