kbg_index_01.jpg Daily RPI Report: UK's RPI is 206 (down 21 spots since Friday) YIKES!!  1. As Matt told you in his News and Views today, the King of the Bluegrass kicks off tonight.  Here is a link to the entire schedule and a list of the great group of players participating.  2. Eric Crawford of the Courier-Journal touches on the disgrace that is Florida St. football.  Whats a bigger disgrace is this UK team, which has had hardly any off the field issues is now put in a no-win situation.  No UK fan should ever hope for good things out of the FSU program again. 3. A really interesting study done by Mark Story deciding who the greatest QB in UK history is.  He uses a wide-ranging series of categories to decide.  His choice is Babe Parilli, in large part because Parilli won a de facto national title in 1950.  In my lifetime, no one is that close to Tim Couch.  Although Woodson is a much better winner, he also has more talent on both sides of the ball. 4. Of all the guys graduating on this years UK football team, in my opinion none will be harder to replace than Wesley Woodyard.  Its hard to compare a QB to a linebacker, but I always thought Woodyard did a better job at his position than Woodson did at QB.  Add to that his leadership qualities, and he will be greatly missed next season.  Anyway, here is a great article on Woodyard's impact and history with the UK program. 5. Well, you may remember that "journalist" in Minnesota who claimed that Tubby Smith had recieved verbal commits from both Patrick Patterson and Jai Lucas before he left.  Now, this "writer" is backing off that claim.  But this chump of a "columnist" couldn't just leave it at that.  At the end of his article he takes a shot at both Billy Gillispie and the UK fanbase.    6. A recap by CNNSI on the UK Basketball season up to this point.  Alot of good quotes from Gillispie on what has plagued his team up to this point in the season. 7. A great profile in the Herald-Leader about Kelenna Azubuike and his emergance as a clutch player on the Golden State Warriors.  Imagine how good both he and UK might have been if he had come back his senior season.  He had good reasons to leave, but it probably hurt him as far as getting immediate playing time in the NBA.  Good to see he is a real success now. 8. For my christmas present to you, here is a gallery of some of the best looking QB's wives and girlfriends in the NFL.  How Daunte Culpepper's wife got in this list is beyond me, but overall a very surberb group of ladies. 9. To wrap it up today, here is a hillarious video of the Houston Rockets singing.  What makes this video great is there are two former UK grads in it, and there is a suprise showing by both the Cookie Monster and Yao.
